There's been quite a lot going on in my family: birthdays, graduations, anniversaries and the death of my beloved Aunt Roberta.
I've also been trying to figure out what direction I want to follow pertaining to my photography and writing. I've been photographing certain things for nearly thirty years and to be honest, I don't enjoy those things as much as I used to. There are some subjects I still enjoy and others I love. So those are the subjects I want to develop.
With that in mind, I will be making changes to my site. I'm not sure how long it will take or what the final result will look like. That's OK, I'm not in a rush. I do intend to begin posting to my blog more regularly also.
I don't remember where I read this or who wrote it, but the saying was in relation to time. "Days pass slowly, but the years fly by." I think that's true, especially as I get older. My children are now grown and starting families and careers of their own. I feel like my life is beginning to be mine again. Meaning that I will always feel a sense of responsibility to my children, but they don't need me in the same way as they did when they were younger. And that's a good thing, I've done my job.
As I can now focus more on my own life, I've decided to pursue what I enjoy in terms of my creative and personal aspirations.
