Here we are in front of Unexso's docks working our way back to the marketplace. Kamal, who generally doesn't like to have his picture taken (wonder where he gets that from?), was being a good sport and let me snap a couple. He's so handsome!
Last weekend Kamal and I found ourselves home alone, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. So we decided to get out for a little while and walk around Port Lucaya, or Ports as my sons refer to it.

"What's for dinner?" is probably one of the most asked question in our household. With work schedules, school days, evening classes, social obligations, etc. planning and actually cooking dinner is a challenge. Not to mention, who feels like cooking after a busy day? Certainly not me!
I tried to teach all my sons to cook at least a few things - and they can all cook pretty well actually. Well, this evening when I came home from work I was greeting with the aroma of BBQ ribs. Owen's favourite. He also made rice and corn to accompany the ribs. Now, I must admit that ribs are not on my list of top ten. But hey, to come home to a nice meal already prepared - I'm not complaining. It was very tasty. Well done Owen! And thanks. Normally I would post an animal picture on Monday. But today is my oldest son's birthday. So in honor of that, happy birthday Siyyid. I love you and wish you many years of happiness.
Today's post is in honour of my grand daughter, Abby. She is two years old today. And she likes cake.
For the past few months, Abby has been giving me a hard time whenever I try to take family pictures. So, I shoot when I can, which means she's holding still long enough to focus - cheese doodle dust and fake rubber grapes included. Actually, I really like taking these kinds of pictures: just a kid being a kid.

PS: It's pronounced konk. You can see the shell in the background. |
