This picture was a little hard to get. I wanted to get more of a profile, but she (I think it's a she) was a little skittish of my big camera. She came into the shelter with these wounds. A large section of her upper lip is gone and one of her eyes bulges. She's a nice dog looking for

Here's Philly holding two puppies who were recently rescuedFor those who may be interested, an article I wrote is published in Bahama Islands Info. Here's the link to copy and paste in your browser.

The kitten would be saying "adopt me, it's crowded in here and those dogs are really loud" if it could talk.
This is Puff. She is the other 3 legged resident of the Humane Society of Grand Bahama. Puff is an old girl who likes to hang out on the walkway in front of the Vet Clinic door. She also likes to bark at the other dogs who get too close and interrupt her relaxation time.
Yesterday afternoon Kamal and I went to Port Lucaya to hang out for a while. As usual, we were walking around the boardwalk near Unexso and saw these. A group of very good size snappers.
There are always a lot of big fish in this area, some that would be good to eat. Like these snappers, very delicious. However, given the amount of boats that dock here, I would not eat anything from this spot. So they're safe. They probably know that too, since they will come right up to the surface near where we stand. This week's dog is Roxy. She spends most her days in my office laying on her fluffy bed with her chewed up stuffed animal that she likes to use as a pillow... when she isn't chewing more holes in it. She's very friendly and despite spending a large part of her day sleeping, she loves to go on walks. In fact, she and I have been working on her leash skills. I'm happy to report that she's coming along nicely.
The weather is cold and crappy: not a day to take my camera outside. So I'm posting the picture I took yesterday of a big, fat pigeon at the beach. I grant you, not the most interesting or technically impressive image I've posted, but I thought the "Linda Blair Exorcist" neck twisting thing it was doing was kinda cool - in a weird "check this out" sorta way. Yes, it's neck is twisted around to that it's head is facin
This is Prince. He's a very friendly potcake (mixed breed) and a recent amputee. Though I am happy to report that he's managing on three legs very well.
This is Danny. If you're looking for him, he can usually be found laying next to a car in the parking lot sunning himself. He used to spend time in my office, until he developed a habit of jumping out the window. The goof!
